Services:

Our Child Watch is a fun, safe place for children. This center is
staffed with responsible and caring adults. We provide an
interactive and encouraging atmosphere for children while you are
"building spirit, mind & body." This service is provided for parents
while using the facility only. In order to ensure the safety of your
children, we reserve the right to limit the number of children
permitted in our room at any one time.

Friday 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
Sunday Closed for family time

AGES: We serve children ages 1 Month - 7 Years.
TIME LIMIT: Children are permitted to be in our care for two
hours per day.
COST: $1.00 per hour for per child
SNACK POLICY: Healthy Snacks Only --- No Meals Allowed
ILLNESS POLICY: In order to keep a clean and healthy
environment for all of the children, please do not bring your child
to the Child Watch if they are displaying any signs of illness.
INFANT POLICY: Please make sure your child has been fed and
has a new diaper on before leaving them in the room.

Health & Fitness Program
Whether its an individual workout or group exercise classes,
staying in shape or getting in shape, the Fayette County YMCA has
the answer to your health and fitness needs. The Wellness Center is
equipped with Precor cardio machines, Precor strength equipment and
free weights. An indoor walking track plus a gymnasium to offer a
host of possibilities for groups and individuals. The Wellness
Center staff is ready to aid you in achieving your workout goals and
can even provide a body composition analysis. A variety of group
exercise classes are offered, covering all levels of physical
ability. Come in and see all that we have to offer!
WELLNESS CENTER RULES
1. The minimum age for Wellness Center participation is 13 years,
with the exception of 11 and 12 year olds who have completed the
pre-teen fitness class.
2. No open toe shoes are allowed in the Wellness Center and all
members on the cardio equipment must wear fitness shoes.
3. Please be courteous to other members. Wipe down equipment, allow
others to use equipment between your sets and limit your time on
cardio equipment to 45 minutes.
Fitness Center - Policies
Orientation
Orientations will be provided to help members become more familiar
with the Wellness Center. The session is designed to instruct
members on usage of the various cardiovascular, selectorized
machines and free-weight equipment. The instruction will include
safety tips, proper seat adjustment and spotting. Basic work-out
routines, fitness center rules and attire will also be addressed.
Orientations are available throughout the week at a various times to
accommodate members needs. Please check with the front desk for open
time slots. The minimum age for Wellness Center participation is 13
years, with the exception of 10, 11 and 12 year olds who have
completed the pre-teen fitness class.
Fitness Assessments
Take a battery of fitness assessments which will help determine your
current level of fitness. The fitness assessment will consist of a
blood pressure reading, 3-site skin fold test, 1 mile walk, Leg
Press/Bench Press Strength test, Crunch test, Sit and Reach Low Back
and Hamstring flexibility test.
$19.00 for members.
Functional Movement Screen: Using a seven step evaluation tool, with
each being scored on a 3 point scale with a total of 21 possible
points. We can get a clear picture of potential athletic potential
and determine athletes weak areas and where they need to work to
improve their athletic ability.
$19.00 for members.
One on one personal training is available to work with an athlete
who wants to improve their Functional Movement Screen Score.

Pre-Teen Fitness Class:
A six week pre-teen orientation class to the Wellness Center for 10,
11 and 12 year olds. Each week we will cover a different topic.
Weekly topics:
Week 1: Cardio Equipment and Running Track/ Cardio Principles.
Week 2: Resistance Equipment/ Strength Principles
Week 3: Flexibility Principles /Gym Etiquette/Gym Rules
Week 4 and 5: Resistance Equipment Review
Week 6 Putting it all together.
The last week of the class parents are required to
participate the last class to learn basic safety precautions and
pre-teen policy and procedures.
Once a pre-teen has graduated the class, a parent can pickup a
Pre-teen ID Card at the front desk and both the Parent and the
pre-teen can go workout in the Wellness Center together. Parents are
required to monitor their pre-teen in the Wellness Center.
Fall Session 1 Class starts: Tuesday, September 16th; 6:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. or Saturday, September 20th, 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Fall Session 2 Class Starts: Tuesday, November 3rd; 6:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. or Saturday, November 8th, 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Coming Soon! Home School PE Class: If you home school your children
and are interested in a swim and gym program give Zack a call at
335-0477 so we can set up the best day and time for the program.

PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAM

start of a new or continuing package.

Small Group Personal Training:
Friends, Fun and Exercise. The Family Y is offering small group
training. The following rules apply. Please read carefully before
registering.
You must contact a trainer prior to registration to determine
availability
Groups are limited to 4
Groups must work with the same trainer
At the end of a package, you may re-evaluate your group, time, and
whether you wish to continue
All members of your group must train at the same time
If any member of the group shows up at a scheduled time and the
remaining members do not, all members will be charged a visit
No assessment, measurements, or body fat analysis are included in
package.
Participants must sign an agreement/ waiver.
No refunds or credits
Trainers will accept group cancellations only
Fees:
1 session, $10.00 a person ($40.00 total)
3 sessions, $30.00 a person ($120.00 total )
8 Week Packages:
24 sessions: (3 times a week) 16 session: (2 times a week)

Cancellation Policy:
24-hour notice of cancellation; without talking with trainer 24
hours ahead of time client will be charged for one session.
Body Composition Analysis:
Using a three site skin fold method we can determine your percent
body fat with a 3 to 4 % accuracy of what your current percent body
fat is and how it compare with other individuals who are the same
age. Please bring a pair of shorts.
